GODTECH Co., Ltd. (operator of Elcycle) attracts investment for the 5th batch of Barun Donghaeng at Korean Investment Accelerator

Korean Investment Accelerator (CEO Baek Yeo-hyun) announced on the 21st that it successfully held the demo day for the 5th batch of its startup nurturing program, Barun Donghaeng, on the 20th.

Over the past four months, the Korean Investment Accelerator provided an accelerating program by utilizing the network of Korean Investment Holdings' affiliates, conducting mentoring and networking together with experts from Korean Investment Partners and Korean Investment Securities. A total of 15 participating companies presented their achievements after the accelerating program during the demo day, along with their future plans.

In particular, at this demo day, teams that were awarded in the media and content startup contest co-organized by Korean Investment Accelerator and SBS Culture Foundation also participated, allowing attendees to explore startups from various fields. Content generation through generative AI (InBlog, Drap) and high-quality SaaS DX (Superhero Company), where users select functionalities, stood out.

Additionally, a variety of differentiated items from sectors such as technology for the reuse of nickel-based alloy components (GODTECH) and hydrogen extraction devices using recycled oil (Holt Energy) were presented, including an on-device AI solution for AI mobile applications (Jetik) and a B2B trading solution for global seeds and varieties (Robus Company). Furthermore, presentations were also made by three teams from previous cohorts (1st to 4th), highlighting their results. The majority of the presenting companies were in the ESG field, showcasing Korean Investment Accelerator’s interest in companies that aim to innovate society through technology.

Korean Investment Accelerator’s CEO Baek Yeo-hyun stated, “We were able to present startups that are trying to change the market with various technologies in fields such as seeds and shipping,” and added, “In the future, we will actively support follow-up investments and necessary network building to help them grow faster in the market.”

Additionally, Korean Investment Accelerator will recruit startups participating in the '6th Barun Donghaeng' starting from the 28th. Companies selected for the 6th batch will receive an investment of up to 300 million KRW upon selection and will participate in a 4-month program thereafter. Teams that demonstrate outstanding achievements during the program will also be given opportunities for follow-up investments. At the same time, recruitment for the 4th SBS Culture Foundation Media & Content Startup Contest will also be conducted. Selected teams will receive up to 50 million KRW in prize money (a total prize of 150 million KRW), and they will also be given opportunities to participate in Korean Investment Accelerator’s Barun Donghaeng program.
